Hiking, fishing and cycling
The Kinnekulle hiking trail runs 200 metres from the farm, Stenbrottet with trout fishing is 1 km away, and bikes can be hired for SEK 50 per day.
Adventure is a fairly flexible idea and can mean anything from children exploring Munkängarna and the Mörkeklev cave to a few days of fishing on Lake Vänern in search of the big salmon.
For children, adventure is always just around the corner; as an adult you may need to be a little more open-minded to find new and exciting things. There is a lot to discover on and around Kinnekulle, and walks along winding paths through green countryside often lead to new and exciting places.
Be enchanted by the dim mystique of Munkängarna and the heavy, heady scent of wild garlic, or look for your own quiet little cove to cool off in the waves of Lake Vänern. Perhaps you would like to walk “in Arn’s footsteps” and discover the historical places mentioned in the books – several of them are here on Kinnekulle and nearby.
