From Medelplanagården it is not far to sights, nature experiences, activities and events. For swimming and fishing it is only 2 km down to Lake Vänern, and Skara and Lidköping are only a few tens of kilometres away.

In the Lidköping area you can visit the Rörstrand Porcelain Museum, and a few tens of kilometres further north you will find the baroque castle of Läckö, which you really must not miss, and the authentic Spiken fishing village with smoked freshwater fish as a delicacy.

There are several golf courses in the area, and just outside Skara you will find the well-known Sommarland amusement park with lots of activities for young and old.

In the countryside around the mountain there are also many artists and craftspeople whose studios you can visit. Several exhibitions are often held in summer.
